People want to do great work and be part of the vision, mission and dream of an organization.

If I’ve learned anything over the course of my career it’s that people want to do great work and be part of the vision, mission and dream of an organization and that this can be achieved through the right systems, infrastructure and culture – which is exactly what I’m here to help you create.

When you choose to work with Life Works Well, you get an employment lawyer, human resources professional and business consultant – all rolled into one. I rely on a team of experts when required to offer a full suite of consultative services as well as delivery of the workshops described below.

While I have – and can – work with businesses of all sizes, my ‘sweet spot’ is newer/growing businesses who understand the importance of culture, see the value in their people and want to get it right the first time.

The Process

Since every business is different and has different needs, packages, retainers and projects are completely custom. That said, whether you’re looking to put some simple policies in writing or want full support to create and execute a robust long-term people strategy, the initial stages of a working relationship are more-or-less the same:

Step 1: Consultation

First, we connect by phone. This is a complimentary opportunity to ask questions, get a high-level idea of what’s possible and assess our fit. (You can schedule a consultation right here.)

Step 2: HR Health Check

If you choose to take the next step towards working together, we’ll start with an ‘HR Health Check’ to determine your starting point. We will meet with a members of your leadership team to understand your culture and any HR programs, policies, training and/or practices you have in place.

Step 3: Recommendations

Based on your HR Health Check we will identify your gaps and opportunities and provide a recommended HR strategy to address them. Items that may be creating legal risks and/or compliance exposure will be prioritized.

From there – and if desired – we can discuss how we can help you address these opportunities which may include some of the standard options and packages above.
